Welcome to the list of Gritty Christian Fiction authors who have shared about their books on this blog. As far as I can tell, the term/genre of “Gritty Christian” is fairly new and fairly broad. In general, it describes Christian books that cover the harsher realities of life and don’t skim over the uncomfortable. On my site, I’m more specifically designating this category for Christian fiction books that include profanity and coarser, possibly more violent language/descriptions than you’ll find in “Clean” Christian Fiction reads.

So, if you’re looking for some good, grittier reads that emphasize redemption and salvation but don’t skimp on the uglier parts of life, check out these authors and their books.
