Tamera been married for 40 years to the love of her life, Rick, and has two married adult children and three grandchildren. She has been a children’s pastor for over 20 years. She is the leader of a ministry called Revival Fire for Kids where she mentors other children’s leaders, teaches workshops, and is a children’s ministry consultant and children’s evangelist and has written children’s church curriculum. She is a recipient of the 2007 National Children’s Leaders Association Shepherd’s Cup for lifetime achievement in children’s ministry.

About the Author:

Temperance Johnson has always loved to read and write. As one of eleven children, she began using writing from their support, and it quickly became one of her favorite pastimes. At the young age of thirteen, Temperance wrote her first book, showing, early on, her inclination toward authorship. With that, her love for both reading and writing has only continued to grow. Passionate about the subjects of adoption, family, and faith, Temperance started the Liberty Chronicles.

In her free time, Temperance shares her love for horses and history through carriage tours that she gives in historic Augusta, Kentucky with her ex-racehorse, Skeeter. Temperance currently lives on a farm with her St. Bernards and enjoys spoiling her seven nephews and sixteen nieces.

About the Author

Tonya grew up in rural Ohio. She currently lives in South Africa with her husband of 35 years. Tonya decided to trust Jesus for the destination of her young soul at the age of four.  As a young adult, she worked for a well-known television evangelist, and traveled with a Christian drama group throughout the Midwest.

Tonya attended Arapahoe Community College and Akron University, and has enjoyed a trusted position in formal and informal ministry settings and training opportunities. Tonya also worked as a children’s pastor, youth pastor, and women’s pastor. She served on staff at Praise Church in Littleton, Colorado for a number of years, and also worked as the Director of Women’s Ministries for Journey Church in Strasburg, Colorado. She has served on a number of ministry boards that support concerns for women.

Tonya and her husband operated Strong Cross Ranch Colorado for over eleven years, a place of respite for missionaries and ministers. They had the honor of hosting over 2,000 guests during that time frame. The Blessings relocated their ministry to South Africa in June of 2012. The ministry continues to serve and partner with local pastors and missionaries through a variety of creative and responsible means.  The Blessings oversee building projects, feeding programs, educational services, interventions, and church planting.

Tonya is a well-known national and international speaker, often serving women in areas of the world which cannot be publicized.  She writes articles and devotionals for missions’ magazines and women’s groups and is also a published author.  She is the author of two historical fiction books The Whispering of the Willows and The Melody of the Mulberries. Both novels are set in Big Creek, West Virginia, during the late 1920’s. Tonya has also co-authored a devotional called Soothing Rain – Living Water to Refresh Your Soul. All three of Tonya’s books have received literary awards.

Tonya enjoys speaking and sharing her life with women at retreats and events.  She thinks that women are amazing and appreciates that the female gender is multifaceted yet fragile creations of God. In her personal life and as a speaker, Tonya believes that God’s Word is powerful, and needs to be read and written on her heart and on the hearts of women everywhere. Temitope Umah, goes by the name Tope Umah. She is a full-time clinical research nurse coordinator, wife, and mother of one, who loves to cheer people on. She especially loves crafting especially with her son, Toro, and loves the challenges motherhood brings as it expands her horizons and births new ventures. Tope has had the pleasure of impacting children with her passion for dancing. She taught in the children’s dance ministry at her local church in Ellicott City, Maryland.

ABC the Bible Way was inspired by Tope’s first son, Toro. Since her pregnancy, she has always thought of different ways she could teach her son about Jesus. After giving birth in 2017, she delved into reading many Christian children books and that led to the birth of ‘ABC the Bible Way.’

About the Author

Victoria Baker has been writing Into the Canyon since she was a little girl playing with her sister and brother on the beautiful ranch their father grew up on and took care of throughout his life.

“I remember sitting on a big boulder, on the hillside, looking down at the house and property and dreaming of one day sharing it with my future family.”

Victoria was born in the closest town with a hospital to this ranch and spent just a few months of her life living on the ranch before her parents moved for an improved livelihood. They never stopped going to the ranch on vacations and the very best of her childhood memories are from those vacations.

“It became our second home. The memories still echo through the trees and “Into the Canyon” of this mountain property.”

Most of Baker’s life has been spent living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she and her husband live now. They share a love of the mountains and hope to ultimately retire in the northern New Mexico community which inspired this book.
