Sometimes it feels like time drags by while nothing happens. But sometimes you get to see things happen faster than you thought they would. My writing journey is a mixture of both. So here is what has happened since my last update on November 24, 2021.
Lil’ Kingdom Sisters Children’s Book Series

- Princess Lillian and Grandpa’s Goodbye won the 2021 Firebird Book Award in the Children Pictures Books ages 4-8, Children Religion, and Death and Dying categories. It was also an Award-Winning Finalist in the Children’s Religious category of the 2022 International Book Awards.
- On June 15, 2022, I released A Princess’ Guide to the Alphabet, as a self-publisher and have been encouraged by the feedback I’ve received. Free lesson plans are available to download on this website.
- You can purchase these first two books on my website, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and by requesting them at your local libraries and bookstores. They are also available in Albuquerque at Bibles Plus (only Princess Lillian and Grandpa’s Goodbye), Title Wave Books, and Bookworks.
- I’m currently working on three new stories for this series.
1 Corinthians Bible Study

Striving for Unity: a Study on 1 Corinthians is in the page design process with Foundations Book Publishing Company, a traditional publisher. We’ve already received a couple of wonderful endorsements and once the page design is complete, I’ll send it to several others who have agreed to consider endorsing it. I’ve seen the cover and the layout for the first few chapters and can’t wait to share it with you!
Memoir

I’m running the completed manuscript by a few Beta Readers and revising accordingly. While I wait for feedback, I’m praying about the next steps to take in this project.
Content Editing

In November 2021, I was hired for a freelance job as a co-content editor on a major book project. It was a lot of work, a ton of fun, and a huge blessing to be a part of. I completed my role in June 2022 and look forward to seeing the final product, set for publication sometime in the fall of 2022.
Co-Writing a Novel

While we focused on the freelance project, my writing partner, Brian Nixon, and I set aside further work on our novel. With the former job complete, I’ve returned my attention to researching, brainstorming, and outlining my first venture into the mystery genre.
Wholly Loved Ministries

I have continued my involvement with Wholly Loved Ministries as an article writer for iBelieve and by helping out where I can with their online ministries. You can see a list of the articles I’ve written here.
Heart-Soul-Mind Blog

Blogging: John, who officially received his Masters in Biblical Studies and Theology, continues to write and post articles here on our blog. Some of latest ones include: The Erasure of Women, What is the Great Tribulation, and A Second Dark Age.
Author Interviews: With my freelance project completed, I’m again offering author interviews for my site, along with guests posting and book reviews where writers from any genre and publishing route can share about their books. If you’re an author and would like to share about your book on this site, send me an email at jennyannlitfin@gmail.com.
Thanks for the update. Congratulations on your second book and the awards. I’m not surprised! And I appreciate knowing what else has been happening in your life. God is using you in a mighty way. Stay the course! 🙂
